Job summary

Dear Grain Roncesvalles, operated by Big League Food Company Retail Inc., is seeking a motivated team member to support daily bakery and sandwich production. You will prepare and bake a range of items, keep the kitchen clean and compliant with safety standards, and assist with inventory and specials.

The role requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to follow recipes in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or sandwich making preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes.
• Minimum 1 year in a high-volume production kitchen/food business.
• Minimum 1 year of culinary education from a recognized college/university.
• Basic cooking and knife handling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches and pizzas according to menu specifications.
• Proof and bake sourdough croissants using given recipes.
• Bake cookies, scones, brownies, and other baked goods; glaze and garnish as instructed.
• Slice, chop and prep ingredients for menu items.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards; keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies; prepare daily specials.

About Us:Dear Grain Toronto is an Everything Sourdough Bakery that specializes in artisanal products - sourdough bread, pastries & sandwiches.
