Job summary

Dear Grain Ossington, operated under Big League Food Company Retail Inc., is hiring for a full-time food preparation role in Toronto. You will prepare sandwiches, bake sourdough croissants and other bakery items, and ensure strict food safety standards while maintaining a clean station.

The ideal candidate has strong recipe-following abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication. Training is available; shifts run 7:00AM–3:00PM on weekdays and 6:30AM–2:30PM on weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or sandwich making preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year continuous employment in a high volume kitchen/food business.
• 1 year culinary education in a recognized college/university.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches and pizza according to menu specifications.
• Proof and bake sourdough croissants using recipe instructions.
• Bake cookies, scones, brownies etc., glaze and garnish baked goods.
• Slice, chop and prep ingredients for menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed.
