Job summary

Prospect Point Café in Vancouver is seeking a hands-on Café & Ice Cream Attendant. You’ll craft espresso drinks, prepare café foods and serve ice cream in a busy venue with a West Coast-inspired restaurant.

The role requires evenings, weekends and holiday shifts, strong teamwork, and a focus on guest experiences. Wage is $18.25/hour plus gratuities for a seasonal contract through October 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous food service industry experience.
• Must have current Serving It Right certificate.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide experiences Guests are amazed by.
• Strong communication skills; multilingual is an asset.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays; lifts up to 20lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet Guests and contribute to a positive experience; be welcoming and smile
• Ensure all transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Replenish stock, maintain cleanliness of all food venues, guest seating area and food storage areas
• Operate all food and beverage equipment in a safe manner
• Communicate with Quick Service Supervisor regarding stock levels
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Follow HAACP and Food Safe requirements
• Follow Team Member Handbook procedures
• Be knowledgeable and promote the Capilano Group of Companies
• Promote a safe work environment paying attention to food and drink safety
• Take reasonable care to protect health and safety
• Report any concerns to supervisor
• Ensure ability to work without risk to health or others is not impaired by alcohol or drugs

Prospect Point Café is looking for hands-on, energetic Café & Ice Cream Attendant dedicated to creating experiences our guests and team members are amazed by. With a sizable retail store, “grab and go” café, and West Coast inspired full-service restaurant, there is never a dull day at this beautiful tourist destination. The Prospect Point Café & Ice Cream Attendant’s main duties include, but are not limited to, creating custom espresso and tea-based beverages, preparation of café food items, serving ice cream, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the café, following proper food and cash handling procedures, and carrying out opening, mid-day or closing procedures.

• Promote a safe work environment paying particular attention to food and drink safety
• Take reasonable care to protect your own, co-workers and Guest’s health and safety
• Be alert to hazards and immediately report any concerns of yours or our guests to your supervisor
• Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other person’s safety is not impaired by alcohol, drugs or other causes

The wage for this role is $18.25 per hour plus gratuities. This role is a seasonal summer contract that will run until the beginning of October 2026.
