Job summary

Svante is seeking an Associate Machine Designer in Burnaby, BC, to support engineering teams in designing carbon-capture machines. You will create 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and documentation, collaborating across machine structure, sealing, and powertrain functions.

This is a 9-month temp role with potential to convert based on performance, offering exposure to CAD, PLM, and design-for-manufacturing in a clean-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in engineering or technical field with 5–8 years in manufacturing/product development.
• 2–3 years hands-on Creo Parametric for 3D CAD and detailed drawings.
• 2–3 years with a PDM/PLM system and CAD data management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical/structural design, GD&T, and welding/machining processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and supporting documentation on schedule.
• Collaborate with machine structure, sealing, and powertrain teams to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.
• Maintain Creo outputs and CAD data in line with Svante's PLM processes.
• Support design for manufacturing and ensure data integrity across projects.
