Job summary

Krech Ojard & Associates Inc is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Burnaby to support mechanical engineering projects. You will prepare CAD drawings, models and specs, and collaborate with engineers on diverse design tasks in the Vancouver area.

The role requires a technical degree or two years of drafting coursework and at least 2 years of experience with AutoDesk Revit or CAD software. Local eligibility to work in Canada is required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or two years of related coursework in drafting or CAD design.
• Minimum 2 years working with AutoDesk Revit or other CAD software.
• Eligible to work in Canada and able to meet local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans, drawings, models, specifications and quantity take-offs using CAD software.
• Process preliminary design data for various design documents.
• Collaborate with engineers to complete design projects of varying complexity.
• Utilize CAD and Revit standards to develop design documents.
• Perform field measurements to validate as-built conditions.
• Recommend upgrades and revisions to internal procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff, other organizations, and client representatives.
