Job summary

A leading company in the mobility sector is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Whitby, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier selection processes, leading negotiations, and ensuring compliance with project objectives. Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of sourcing professional background required.
  • Operational and/or Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Continuous Improvement experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project negotiations and prepare Request for Quotations.
  • Monitor Procurement project progress towards QCDT objectives.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and quality during project ramp-up.

Purpose of the job

  • Set up full supplier selection process
  • Deploy commodities strategy
  • Ensure project execution in line with Quality Cost Delivery & Technical (QCDT) objectives
  • Support supplier Panel relationship (Supplier workload, negotiation, Specific agreement)

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers
  • Lead project negotiation
  • Monitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
  • Ensure work package sheet commitment respect
  • Prepare Business Award
  • Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Coordinate project with all métiers
  • Ensure the on-time delivery and quality are secured especially during the ramp-up phase of the project

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge

Education

· Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or Business degree

Relevant experience required

· Sourcing professional background 2-5 years

Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role

· Operational and/or Maintenance knowledge/experience

· Maximo & SAP exposure is an asset

· Continuous Improvement (CI) experience would be beneficial

Note : Availability on site 5 days a week willing to travel between Mississauga & Willowbrook offices
