OVERVIEW:

Mindshare is looking for a Senior Media u00A0 Buyer, Media Investment with a passion for marketing and a strong understanding of the media landscape. u00A0 This role is in the u00A0 Investment Team u00A0 and works closely with media vendors to bring our media plans to life. Working in conjunction with our Media Planners, this function is responsible for the negotiating and purchasing of media real estate u2013 an integral part of capturing our clientu2019s vision to reach an intended audience u2013 and delivering the best outcomes for the company and our clients.

The Senior Media Buyer u00A0 provides counsel to the Media Planners and client teams regarding marketplace rates and conditions, drives the buying and negotiating process for assigned clients and ensures a high quality of execution.

This is a 360 media investment role which means the job requires developing, executing and reconciling both digital and broadcast go-to-market recommendations. u00A0 If you donu2019t have a background in both, you must be open to being trained on digital or broadcast buying to augment your buying skills. u00A0


How you will make an IMPACT:

  • Provide/oversee go to market insight, select vendors/sites and provide rationales on these u00A0 sites, u00A0 acting as u00A0 a connection u00A0 point for vendors/partners
  • Be a point of contact for clients, and lead client status calls; presenting insights, post wraps, optimizations and other findings to clients
  • Partner with the Manager in development of communications with u00A0 planning team including buy authorizations, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc.
  • Take an active role in coordinating all reporting with planning and analytics
  • Liaise with the planning team to deliver the digital portion of the overall strategy - Provide Digital market research/insight and POVs
  • Ongoing management and stewardship of campaigns (pacing, updates in Prisma, etc.)
  • Provide and obtain information and intelligence from Mindshare and GroupM Trading leadership to be presented to planning team and clients when appropriate
  • Accurate and timely vendor invoice approval and budget reconciliation u00A0

What YOU bring: u00A0

  • College u00A0 diploma or Bacheloru2019s u00A0 Degree , preferably in advertising, marketing, business administration or communications, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 u00A0 years of relevant media experience, digital strategy/buying or planning preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) u00A0
  • Proficiency with media tools (i.e. u00A0 Prisma, u00A0 Mediaocean) and 3 rd u00A0 party syndicated research resources (ComScore u00A0 and u00A0 Numeris )
  • Comfortable working with budgets and numbers u00A0 - u00A0 must love data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; proven ability to prioritize and organize workload, and operate under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership, customer service and communications skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity - flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn and assist wherever needed
