Job summary

IQ PARTNERS seeks an in-house buyer for a well-known retailer in Markham. The role involves stocking in-store and ecommerce products and engaging customers directly at the store level. Mandarin language ability is required to communicate with customers and inventory teams.

The position is full-time with a salary of $100,000 per annum. You will greet customers, identify needs, demonstrate products, and drive sales while maintaining excellent customer service and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales or customer service in a target-driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic inventory software.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Buying, greet customers, identify their needs, and provide expert advice and product demonstrations.
• Sales & Upselling: Achieve and exceed personal and store sales targets by effectively cross-selling and upselling merchandise.
• Client Relations: Build trusting relationships with shoppers to encourage repeat visits and promote loyalty programs.
• Problem Solving: Resolve customer complaints or inquiries professionally and efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related target-driven environment.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic inventory software.
• Soft Skills: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, strong basic math skills, and a proactive, positive attitude.
