Key Responsibilities:

• Source Suppliers: Get quotes for goods and services needed for sales.
• Plan Components: Manage raw materials like steel and fittings.
• Negotiate Agreements: Issue RFQs/RFPs and manage pricing.
• Order Materials: Fulfill purchasing needs and requisitions.
• Liaison: Resolve procurement issues between suppliers and departments.
• Monitor Performance: Ensure products meet specs and delivery schedules.
• Market Assessment: Recommend procurement and supply chain strategies.
• Assist Customers: Interpret laws, policies, and regulations.
• Organize Shipments: Coordinate vessel shipments for post-weld heat treatment.
• Create Orders: Generate purchase orders for x-ray, sub-contractors, and rental equipment.
• Maintain Records: Update ERP part numbers for design.
• Order Supplies: Procure welding/shop consumables and safety supplies.
• Reconcile Discrepancies: Address issues between receiving, purchasing, and invoicing.
• Vendor Management: Maintain and assess current and potential vendors.
• Generate Orders: Ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• 3+ years of procurement experience (purchasing, inventory control, etc.).
• Proven ability to build strong vendor relationships.
• Experience with M2M or similar ERP systems (preferred).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
• Knowledge of procurement and contract law.
• Experience with import freight movement and vendor negotiation.
