Tundra, in Calgary, is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchasing for production, sales, and inventory. You will collaborate with suppliers to secure on-time deliveries, monitor KPIs, and implement performance improvements while following company purchasing policies.

Qualifications

  • High School education required; college/trade certs are assets.
  • Post-secondary certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and participate in Health and Safety programs.
  • Process and execute purchasing activities for distribution, production and stock levels.
  • Adhere to purchasing policies, procedures and approvals.
  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and update orders as needed.
  • Track shipping, delivery, delays and order status.
  • Produce KPI, metric and performance reports.

Opportunity

Responsible for purchasing parts and materials for production, sales and inventory. Work with vendors monitor KPIs and build and execute performance improvement plans where needed. Provide input on opportunities to improve product flow, consolidate buying needs and reduce acquisition costs.

Responsible for purchasing parts and materials for production, sales and inventory. Work with vendors monitor KPIs and build and execute performance improvement plans where needed. Provide input on opportunities to improve product flow, consolidate buying needs and reduce acquisition costs.

Role
  • Monitor and participate in Health and Safety programs
  • Process and execute purchasing activities as requested for all areas of distribution, production and stock levels.
  • Adhere to company purchasing policies, procedures and approval processes.
  • Work with suppliers to maintain effective relationships and ensure on-time delivery of product, communicating any delivery changes to partners and updating orders accordingly.
  • Track and communicate details pertaining to shipping, delivery, delays and order status.
  • Produce KPI, metric and performance reports as necessary.
  • Additional tasks and duties as required.
Candidate
  • Education: High School; College or Trade or Certifications. Post-Secondary certification and/or SCMP designation is considered an asset.
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain or Operations procurement environment required.
  • Knowledge: Excellent communication skills, MS Office, working knowledge of ERP systems and mathematical reasoning skills required. Continuous improvement experience is an asset. Experience with Materials Resource Planning considered an asset.
