Job summary

Wajax Corporation is seeking a warehouse associate to ensure the safe flow of industrial goods within the branch. You will receive, verify, and input goods, prepare packages, stock shelves, and operate a forklift to support movement of inventory.

This role requires a high school diploma, valid forklift certification, and a minimum of two years’ forklift experience in a similar setting. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; valid forklift license/certification and insurable driver’s license.
  • Minimum 2 years forklift experience; prior warehouse experience preferred.
  • Ability to stock shelves, organize and maintain a clean work area.

Responsibilities

  • Receives goods into inventory, including unpacking and verifying contents;
  • Prepares packages for shipment and picks/packs per orders;
  • Ensures goods are shipped per organizational and customer requirements;
  • Maintains Bills of Lading and coordinates carriers for timely delivery;
  • Stocks shelves and performs housekeeping in the work area;

Job description

Responsible for the safe flow of industrial goods in and within the branch or warehouse. Ensures branches are supplied as necessary by shipping and receiving goods, checking for accuracy, and appropriately processing orders. Supports the warehouse by stocking shelves, performing housekeeping activities within the work area, and operating a forklift in support of the movement of goods.

The Role
  • Receives goods into inventory, including unpacking and verifying contents against appropriate documents; ensures received goods are accurately input into the computer tracking system
  • Prepares packages to be sent out in accordance with information on the packing slip, picks and packs goods for shipment as per customer and branch orders.
  • Ensures goods are shipped in accordance with organizational best practices and customer requirements
  • Maintain Bills of Lading, book and arrange carriers for timely delivery of goods.
  • Stock shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting/organization system and equipment, including forklifts
  • Files packing slips from suppliers and co-workers; prints service and production documents as required
  • Completes a daily forklift log
  • Ensures the warehouse is always maintained in a clean and organized fashion
  • Participate with regularly scheduled counts to ensure inventory is maintained and accurate.

The Candidate
  • Education: High School; valid Forklift license/certification; valid driver’s license and must be insurable
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years forklift experience; previous experience in a similar role.
