Job summary

Canada Life in Winnipeg is seeking a seasoned Business Systems Analyst for a permanent full-time role. You will lead analysis, translate business needs into requirements, and support solution design to deliver technology aligned with business goals.

You will bridge business and technology, document requirements, facilitate workshops, and ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and quality expectations. Strong BA experience and Agile delivery are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in a related discipline (MIS, BA, CS, CE, Finance) or equivalent.
5+ years experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, processes and best practices.
Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting and validating requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration across teams.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban or Waterfall delivery environments.
Knowledge of APIs, integrations, data flows and enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
Lead analysis activities for medium to large initiatives including elicitation and scope.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and reviews of deliverables.
Present findings, risks and updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure solutions align with business requirements and standards.
Collaborate with architects, developers and QA to validate designs.
Create and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria within Agile practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and release planning.
