Business Partner, Communications and Brand (On-Site)

About The Role

The Business Partner, Communications and Brand, is a key member of the Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Communications and Brand Experience, you will be responsible for delivering impactful marketing and communication activities. The ideal candidate will have a proactive, 'get-it-done' attitude and serve as a brand ambassador.

Responsibilities
  • Support Oakville Hydro communications programs, events, and initiatives, including coordination, planning, implementation, and measurement.
  • Create marketing collateral, external and internal communications, event and promotional materials, news releases, and manage website and social media communications.
  • Design and develop marketing campaigns ensuring brand consistency.
  • Develop content strategies for employee communications and public relations, including crisis communication support.
  • Manage the Oakville Hydro website content and social media channels, including content creation and analytics.
  • Participate in brand events such as trade shows and community initiatives.
  • Provide outage communication support, including after-hours as needed.
  • Collaborate on corporate and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing marketing materials, campaigns, and content.
  • Social media management experience; B2B experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in Ontario’s utility, energy, or infrastructure sectors is an asset.
Work Conditions
  • Office-based role, working 5 days a week.
  • Additional hours may be required.
  • Minimal travel within Ontario.
Scope and Other Factors

Reports to: Director, Strategic Communications and Brand Experience.

Key qualities include being a brand ambassador, innovative, proactive, collaborative, and professional. Ability to prioritize, analyze, and adapt quickly is essential.

Work Relationships

Works with all departments and levels within the organization; external contacts include customers, vendors, and consultants.
