Manager, Recruitment @ PIVOTAL | HR Solutions Specialist

Are you a strategic HR Generalist or HRBP eager to take ownership of a department and drive meaningful change? This position offers the chance to work directly with senior leadership, playing a pivotal role in shaping HR strategy during a transformative period for the company. Ideal for a Generalist or HR Business Partner stepping into a more independent role eager to oversee internal teams in a dynamic manufacturing setting. In this role, you will evaluate existing HR frameworks, identify areas for improvement, and implement policies that enhance employee engagement and compliance. Your expertise in workforce planning, talent acquisition, and employee relations will be critical in fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy & Compliance: Review and refine HR policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs) to align with best practices and legal standards.
  • Employee Engagement: Design and implement initiatives to enhance workplace culture, employee satisfaction, and wellness programs.
  • Compensation & Workforce Planning: Assess salary structures to maintain internal equity and competitive positioning.
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage the full hiring cycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and onboarding new hires.
  • HR Compliance & Legislation: Ensure all HR practices adhere to provincial and federal labor laws, including ESA and Canada Labour Code requirements.
  • Training & Development: Facilitate onboarding programs, employee training initiatives, and leadership development efforts.
  • Managed payroll relationship with external vendor for processing of employee pay.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for staff concerns, providing guidance and support to resolve workplace matters effectively.
  • HR Systems & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, manage the applicant tracking system (ATS), and introduce new HR tools as needed.
  • Recognition & Communication: Develop internal communications for employee appreciation and engagement programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally with exposure to a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience within compliance, policies, and people engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of employment regulations, including Ontario ESA and Canadian labour laws.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment, preferably with ATS proficiency.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Ability to collaborate with leadership and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking ability, and project management capabilities.
  • This is an on-site position based in Mississauga, with flexibility for remote work 1–2 days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to move into a standalone role as the lead HR presence strategizing with management and executives.
