Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Business Intelligence Partner to lead the analytics function within our Operations & Business Intelligence team. You will shape analytics strategy, build a high-performing team, and partner with senior leaders to turn data into actionable decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in analytics/BI (insurance preferred) with expert Power BI and Excel skills and working knowledge of Python and SQL. A post-secondary analytics-related degree is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis, ideally within insurance.
• Expert proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel, with working knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the reporting and analytics strategy for business lines, including retention, new business, and YoY performance.
• Oversee design, governance, and adoption of Power BI dashboards for leadership and finance teams.
• Manage monthly and quarterly analysis of financial metrics and present recommendations to senior leaders.
• Establish data standards and reconciliation across source systems with corporate financials.
• Champion automation and process improvements to scale reporting and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with regional and business-line leadership on planning cycles and strategic initiatives.
• Translate executive questions into analytics priorities and measurable outcomes.

About The Role

Are you ready to lead the analytics function that shapes how our business makes decisions? We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Partner to join our Operations & Business Intelligence team — setting the analytics and reporting strategy, developing a high‑performing team, and partnering with senior leaders to turn data into action. What You’ll Do

• Own the reporting and analytics strategy for business lines, including retention, new business, and year-over-year performance
• Oversee the design, governance, and adoption of Power BI dashboards, ensuring leadership and finance teams have accurate, decision-ready data
• Manage monthly and quarterly analysis of financial metrics — organic growth, new business trends, revenue forecasts, and year-end projections — and present recommendations to senior leaders
• Establish data standards and reconciliation processes across source systems to ensure consistency with corporate financial systems
• Champion automation and process improvement across reporting workflows to scale the team’s impact and reduce manual effort
• Partner with regional and business line leadership on planning cycles, special projects, and strategic initiatives
• Translate business questions from executive stakeholders into analytics priorities and measurable outcomes

Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success

• 5+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis, ideally within insurance
• Applied Epic experience required
• Expert proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel, with working knowledge of Python and SQL
• Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive audiences
• Track record of building automated, scalable reporting processes and strong data governance practices
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across finance, operations, and senior leadership
• Post‑secondary degree in Analytics, Economics, Finance, or a related field

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience andworking location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
