Job description

Our Business Intelligence Developer will enable a data-driven strategy at Resolver by building dashboards and providing insights on key results. This is a role where you will work with stakeholders across the business to define how data impacts our business. The future state is a data-centric culture where leaders are empowered with self-service data for decision-making. You will drive conversations across the company on the insights in our data and how we can use them to improve results.

About Resolver:

Resolver is a high-growth SaaS company whose intuitive, no-code platform gives our customers a clear picture of their risks so they can make quick and effective decisions. As a part of the Resolver team, your work will help transform risk management to risk intelligence so organizations can protect people and assets and deliver on their purpose.

We are ambitious in both our mission and our culture. As a business within Kroll, we offer an innovative, non-hierarchical work environment blended with the stability and financial security of an enterprise. Resolver has also been named one of Canada’s Great Places to Work eight years in a row!

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Data Analysis (60%)
  • Serve as ad-hoc reporting agent for all divisions at Resolver, adjusting monthly reports with updated data sources and resolving issues with current reporting as required.
  • Provide new reporting, dashboards, and other visualizations to support business growth.
  • Identify trends and insights that improve results against core KPIs: ARR, win-rate, back-to-base revenue.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on division-level reports across services, product, sales, marketing, and division leads.
Data Management (30%)
  • Maintain documentation to support our data-centric culture and ensure data integrity. Document untapped data sources for future reporting.
  • Detect and resolve data quality issues; implement fixes and data audits.
  • Monitor dashboards for proper functioning and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain standards for key metrics to ensure consistency across dashboards and teams.
  • Use historical metrics to set up reporting that enables teams to meet and exceed objectives.
Strategy (10%)
  • Report to stakeholders on the impact of BI infrastructure and projects.
  • Understand and anticipate stakeholder data needs.
  • Advance our data culture by researching industry best practices and recommending improvements.
Qualifications and Education:
  • 2+ years experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Domo).
  • Proven ability to build intuitive dashboards and visualize data effectively.
  • 2+ years experience in data modeling, analysis, cleaning, and QA.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Post-secondary degree required.
Nice to Have:
  • Background in analytics, mathematics, or a quantitative field.
  • Experience with Python or R, especially with data viz libraries and predictive analytics.
  • Experience with Snowflake and CRM data.
Benefits:
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits fully paid from day one.
  • Professional development budget, workshops, and growth programs.
  • Flexible vacation policy and parental leave top-up.
  • RRSP matching up to 2.5%.
  • Flexible work environment with remote and in-office options.
  • Office perks including snacks, games, and team socials.
