We are currently seeking a Power BI Developer - REMOTE in Canada to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of relevant experience. They will be responsible for analyzing business problems to determine the best way to apply BI capabilities to deliver solutions, maintaining and growing knowledge of enterprise data assets and data-centric business processes.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop reports and dashboards on Power BI.
2. Build Analysis Services reporting models.
3. Write complex DAX functions in Power BI and handle transformations in Power BI Query editor.
4. Create visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
5. Connect data sources, import, and transform data for Business Intelligence.
6. Translate data into informative reports and visuals through analytical thinking.
7. Implement row-level security and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
8. Develop advanced DAX queries and calculations on datasets.
9. Design methodology and project documentation.
10. Develop tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
11. Communicate effectively with client and internal teams to discuss requirements.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer.
• 2+ years in data-specific roles.
• Excellent understanding of data models and row-level security in Power BI.
• Experience embedding Power BI into applications.
• Knowledge of Direct-Query & Import options and when to use each.
• Familiarity with Microsoft BI Stack.
• Strong data analytics skills.
• Software development skills.
