Job Title: Power BI Developer

Location: Remote (Canada)

Role Overview: A Power BI Developer with a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence, responsible for delivering scalable and insightful BI solutions by transforming complex data into actionable insights through collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build and optimize Analysis Services (SSAS) reporting models.
• Write complex DAX formulas to implement business rules and KPIs.
• Perform advanced data transformations using Power BI Query Editor.
• Implement row-level security and application-layer security models.
• Connect and integrate data from multiple sources using Direct Query and Import options.
• Translate business requirements into user-friendly reports.
• Develop data models aligned with data warehouse standards.
• Create documentation and follow design methodologies.
• Collaborate with teams and clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer.
• Proven experience with DAX, Power BI Desktop, Service, and Embedded.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency with row-level security, Direct Query, and Import modes.
• Experience with Microsoft BI Stack (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS).
• Ability to develop high-performing dashboards with intuitive UX.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• 2–3 years in data-centric roles or similar environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Services or Power Platform tools.
• Knowledge of integrating Power BI reports into custom applications or portals.
