Overview:
Our client in Regina, SK is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst for an initial 8-month contract ending March 31, 2026, reference SX7166, with potential for renewal. This is an onsite role; candidates must reside in Regina or be willing to relocate for the duration of the contract.

What you will be doing:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will have a broad technical background, expertise in data management, BI tools, and data architecture. The role involves transforming data into insights to support strategic and digital transformation goals, designing and implementing technology solutions, developing SQL queries, and working with Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and Databricks. The analyst will oversee data integration and visualization, ensuring security and compliance standards are met.

Typical activities include:

1. Communicating and Presenting Effectively: Present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
2. Guiding Business Solutions: Collaborate with Business Units from concept to delivery.
3. Designing and Implementing Technology Solutions: Support digital transformation initiatives.
4. Applying Data Architectural Methodologies: Ensure data system integrity and efficiency.
5. Identifying and Mitigating Technical Risks: Address potential technical challenges proactively.

Minimum requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in data management and BI roles within the last 15 years.
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Data Sciences, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Expertise in SQL, including writing and optimizing queries and maintaining scripts.
• Experience with Power BI Service, Microsoft Azure, DataBricks, Lakehouse architecture, and Delta format.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Regina, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
• Experience must be clearly detailed in the resume.

Preferred skills:

• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Extensive experience with Power BI, Power Query, DAX.
• Proficiency in cloud services and Lakehouse architecture.
• Knowledge of reporting needs, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data visualization, content management, data governance, star schema, and compliance standards.
