WorkSafeNB is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst. Reporting to the Director, Business Information Services, you will manage and enhance WorkSafeNB's data ecosystem by overseeing the intake, governance, quality, and architecture of data. This role aims to support data-driven decision-making by ensuring reliable data platforms, fostering data literacy, and delivering advanced analytics, visualizations, and insights. This enables the organization to meet its strategic goals through innovative and efficient data management and analysis, turning data into information, and enabling the business to make solid decisions based on data.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

• Intake Management and Data Procurement & Analytics Support.

• Data Governance and Data Quality.

• Data Visualization and Data as a Service (DaaS).

• Data Platform Development and Data Architecture.

• Advanced and Specialized Analysis.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

• University graduate in information science, computer science, business or a related area. A two-year college diploma in relevant field with five years' experience in project leadership on small to medium sized data projects involving relational databases would be considered.

• Three to five years' experience in relevant roles including project leadership on small to medium sized data projects involving relational databases.

• Experience using MS Access, SQL Query, and Visual Basics.

• Experience working with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, SPSS, etc.)

• Experience in statistical analysis including regression, ANOVA, time series analysis and principal component analysis.

• Experience with Data governance frameworks, policy and guideline establishment (DAMA).

• Intermediate experience in Data Analytics.

• Understanding analytics data ecosystems, Data modeling and architecture principles.

• Understanding Data modeling and architecture principles.

• Understanding of Data validation and testing best practices.

• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Power automation, Azure SQL database and, Microsoft Purview.

• Broad understanding of Data Platform and AI/ML.

• Basic understanding of ITSM and workflow management.

• Knowledge of visualization standards and best practices.

• Ability to communicate complex data and technical topics to a business audience.

• Ability to create end-user friendly presentations and documentations to guide users on technical and business specific reporting topics.

Written and spoken competency in English is required.

Pay Scale $77,735.49 to $91,452.80

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

Benefits include vacation, sick time and the New Brunswick Public Service Pension Plan.

Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings, for that reason, working from outside the province or country is not permissible.
