Job summary

Altis Technology is seeking a Reporting Analyst in Mississauga to design and maintain Power BI dashboards and data solutions for Distribution Centre operations. You’ll work with Databricks SQL, Azure Databricks, and the Microsoft Power Platform to deliver analytics, automation, and self-service insights.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain leadership and engineers to build scalable reporting, support governance, and evolve analytics with AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent.
• Advanced Power BI skills with dashboards, data models, visualizations, and multi-source reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) to automate workflows.
• Strong SQL skills and Databricks SQL views, datasets, and data models for reporting and analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Data Lakes and EDW platforms.

Location: Mississauga, ON, Hybrid (Monday to Thursday on-site, Friday remote)

Base Salary: $88,000 annually

Position Overview

The Reporting Team drives operational performance, quality improvement, and automation support. They provide operational analysis to allow for optimal business decisions in Distribution Centers. In a fast-paced environment, they find data-driven solutions under tight deadlines while collaborating with DC Operations and Supply Chain Leadership Teams.

Responsibilities

• Creation of operational reporting and analytics solutions to drive business improvement and operational change.


• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and reporting infrastructure.


• Build, maintain, and optimize Databricks SQL views and curated datasets to support operational reporting and analytics requirements.


• Develop and support business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.


• Provide data support, stewardship, and subject matter expertise for Distribution Centre Operations.


• Develop a thorough understanding of operational processes, workflows, KPIs, and business objectives.


• Partner with stakeholders to identify challenges, assess requirements, recommend and develop scalable solutions, including reporting, dashboards, self-service analytics, automation, and process enhancements.


• Champion data quality, governance, and best practices to ensure reliable, actionable information that supports operational excellence and continuous improvement.


• Carry out detailed root cause analysis and investigation on various Distribution Centre processes, functions, and systems.


• Conduct benchmark analysis (internal and industry) on tools, processes, and performance measures.


• Create reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for Distribution Centre key performance indicators.


• Support Supply Chain leadership decision-making through ad hoc analysis and data-driven recommendations.


• Evolve reporting and analytics solutions to incorporate AI, automation, and predictive capabilities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including extensive experience building dashboards, data models, visualizations, and reporting solutions using multiple data sources.


• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, to streamline processes, automate workflows, and deliver business solutions.


• Strong experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, including the creation and maintenance of Databricks SQL views, datasets, and data models for reporting and analytics purposes.


• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Data Lakes, Hadoop, and Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW).


• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to conceptualize complex issues, organize information effectively, and solve problems efficiently.


• Strong facilitation skills capable of leading discussions, workshops, and presentations.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for interacting with all levels of the organization.


• Self-motivated with the ability to independently drive projects from conception through implementation.


• Demonstrated experience performing data analysis and providing actionable recommendations to operational and leadership teams.


• Experience working with large and complex datasets in operational environments.


• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership across the organization.


• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python is desirable.


• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Access, and Visio.


• Experience with AI and advanced analytics tools, including Machine Learning concepts, Large Language Models (LLMs), Microsoft Copilot, and Databricks AI capabilities, is considered a strong asset.
