Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a Data Analyst role or similar.
• Experience querying SQL for data extraction.
• Experience building dashboards with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Basic data modeling understanding and reporting structures.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to gather requirements.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Ottawa, ON. This role focuses on supporting day-to-day reporting, dashboard development, and data analysis for internal and client-facing projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with structured data, building reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, data-driven insights. This position offers hands-on experience across multiple projects in a collaborative consulting environment.

Duties

• Collect, clean, and validate data from sources such as SQL databases and Excel files
• Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI or Tableau for business reporting
• Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement
• Work with team members and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define KPIs
• Prepare recurring reports and assist in automating routine data tasks
• Support data modeling and basic data transformations for reporting purposes
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across reports and dashboards
• Document data sources, definitions, and reporting processes

Experience

• Microsoft Power BI Certification (PL-300) or similar
• Experience improving or automating reporting processes

Work Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Ottawa area)
• Security clearance is an asset, depending on project requirements

Pay

$75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
