Job Description

The Business Development & Marketing Associate is a career-building position designed for someone who wants to learn business development, sales, marketing, project development, estimating, and operations within the construction industry.

You’ll work closely with the Business Development Coordinator and senior leadership team, supporting a range of business development and marketing initiatives while getting hands‑on exposure to multiple sides of the business.

This isn’t a traditional desk job. You’ll be out meeting people, attending events, creating content, supporting proposals, and helping move the business forward. It’s the kind of role where no two weeks look exactly alike and where you’ll learn the condominium industry from the ground up while developing the skills you’ll need to advance.

If you’re a recent grad or early‑career professional who’s hungry to learn, willing to put in the work, and excited by the idea of growing with a company that’s on the move, this could be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting (~50%)
  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities including cold calls, email outreach, and follow‑up communications.
  • Perform in‑person visits to property management offices, condominium communities, and industry partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with property managers, condominium board members, engineers, designers, and consultants.
  • Identify and research new business opportunities.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations for the sales team.
  • Conduct market research to identify prospective clients and opportunities.
  • Assist with lead generation campaigns and business development initiatives.
CRM Management & Business Support (~20%)
  • Maintain accurate records within the company's CRM platform.
  • Research and update contact information, company profiles, and opportunity data.
  • Assist with pipeline management, reporting, forecasting, and sales analytics.
  • Support proposal preparation and sales administration activities.
  • Help improve internal systems and processes through the use of technology and AI tools.
Marketing & Content Development (~15%)
  • Assist with social media planning and content creation.
  • Support project photography and video initiatives.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Create presentations, flyers, and marketing materials using Canva, PowerPoint, and other digital tools.
  • Contribute ideas to support company growth, brand awareness, and client engagement.
Event Coordination & Industry Engagement (~15%)
  • Assist with the planning and execution of trade shows, educational seminars, networking events, golf tournaments, and client appreciation events.
  • Coordinate event logistics and registrations.
  • Attend industry events and represent ArmourCo professionally.
  • Track event‑generated opportunities and follow‑up activities.
Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining office, field, and remote work.

Typical week may include:
  • Visiting clients and industry partners.
  • Attending networking events and trade shows.
  • Working from the office alongside the business development and leadership teams.
  • Completing administrative, CRM, and marketing activities remotely.

The role provides significant variety and exposure to multiple aspects of the business.

Job Requirements & Qualifications
Required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable speaking with new people both over the phone and in person.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Preferred
  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot.
  • Experience creating content for social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies for research, content creation, organization, and productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and problem‑solving.
  • Graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating presentations, flyers, marketing materials, or digital content.
  • Photography and videography experience.
  • An eye for design, branding, and visual presentation.
  • Interest in construction, architecture, design, or the built environment.
Who Should Apply?
  • This role is ideal for individuals who:
  • Are looking to build a long‑term career rather than simply fill a position.
  • Enjoy meeting new people and building relationships.
  • Are naturally curious and eager to learn.
  • Thrive in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
  • Embrace technology and enjoy finding more efficient ways to work.
  • Are comfortable adopting AI and digital tools as part of their daily workflow.
  • Enjoy both relationship‑building and creative problem‑solving.
  • Want exposure to multiple areas of a growing business.
  • Are ambitious, adaptable, and excited to take on new challenges.

Recent graduates and early‑career professionals are encouraged to apply.
