Join a leading temperature-controlled logistics company as a Business Development Manager (Transportation) in Montreal. This hybrid role focuses on driving growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities while collaborating with operational leaders. Ideal candidates will have B2B sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and a hunter mentality. Enjoy competitive compensation and career growth opportunities in a dynamic team environment.
Your Mission: Drive Growth, Close Big, Build the Future
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager (Transportation) is a front-line revenue driver responsible for identifying, winning, and expanding national and regional transportation accounts. You’ll collaborate closely with operational leaders and the pricing team, build strategic relationships, and develop tailored, end-to-end integrated solutions that meet complex customer needs.
This is not a farming role. We want a hunter — someone who thrives in high-stakes sales, brings strong business acumen, and can confidently pitch and position Lineage as the go-to supply chain partner.
What You’ll Do:
Hunt & Win: Identify and close new transportation business opportunities across Quebec and Atlantic.
Own the Funnel: Manage full-cycle sales process — from lead generation, discovery, develop solution, and proposal to negotiation and onboarding.
Grow Revenue: Build strategic partnerships with high-value clients and expand existing accounts through a consultative approach.
Deliver Solutions: Customize integrated supply chain solutions that solve customer pain points and add measurable value.
Partner Internally: Collaborate with operations to align execution with customer expectations and ensure seamless service delivery.
Know the Market: Monitor competitive trends, develop insights, and bring innovation to your sales strategy.
Represent with Impact: Attend tradeshows, events, and conferences to promote Lineage and build brand visibility.
Track & Report: Maintain accurate records of sales activity, forecasts, and revenue results in Salesforce.
You Bring:
B2B sales experience, ideally in transportation, supply chain, logistics, or complex solution selling.
Proven ability to close accounts, navigate complex sales cycles, and influence key decision-makers.
Strong hunter instinct — you’re motivated by targets, and you don’t wait for leads to come to you.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build trust fast and understand client challenges from a business-first perspective.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Bilingualism (English/French) is strongly preferred due to the regional market.
Willingness to travel up to 20%.
