Job description

Join to apply for the Business Development Manager role at PPG.

As a Business Development Manager, you will work within the PPG Canada Refinish organization, partnering with the Canada East Territory Managers and Regional Manager to position PPG in the automotive refinish aftermarket. Your focus will be on securing new business and managing select existing strategic accounts to enhance body shop processes and profitability. You will report to the PPG National Manager, Business Development & Solutions, Networks, MSOs, and OEMs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work with management to plan, target, engage, and close deals with large body shops in Ontario & Eastern Canada, generating over $2M in insurance-related work annually.
  2. Support existing strategic accounts to improve processes and increase profitability.
  3. Mentor sales staff to develop strong regional strategic accounts.
  4. Understand competitors' offerings and develop countermeasures.
  5. Maintain account profiles, identify industry trends, and develop initiatives to meet evolving needs (e-commerce, insurance companies, direct supply).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Collision center experience.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% overnight; residency in Toronto/GTA required. Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
