Work Environment

We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment. You will work both in-office and remotely, typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility. This position is based in Toronto; applicants outside this area must be willing to relocate within a commutable distance.

About You

You are passionate, solution-oriented, and a team player. You have knowledge of conventional and CMHC insured commercial mortgage financing across various real estate asset classes in Eastern Canada. You excel in customer service, relationship building, and are meticulous yet strategic in your work.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of commercial mortgage underwriting and business development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Knowledge of AML and KYC requirements
  • Proven sales and market development ability
  • Strong relationship, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication skills
Daily Responsibilities
  • Manage origination and underwriting of CMHC insured financing proposals
  • Assist in credit application preparations
  • Lead and direct real estate team members
  • Coordinate with funding team and legal counsel for loan funding
  • Engage in marketing and business development to grow the portfolio
  • Monitor portfolio and manage problem loans
  • Review appraisals and environmental reports per credit policy
