Detailed Role Description:
We are a growing, highly focused litigation law firm dedicated to delivering strategic, results-driven representation for corporate, high-net worth, and institutional clients. Our success is built on agility, depth of knowledge, and a culture of high performance.
We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive / Manager who is ready to take full ownership of the firm’s client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and revenue generation efforts.
About the Role:
This is not a support role. This is an opportunity for a self-directed and strategically minded business development professional who thrives under measurable KPIs, values autonomy, and understands how to build long-term client relationships in a legal services environment.
You’ll be expected to produce tangible results in client acquisition, conversion, relationship management, and strategic growth — all while adhering to the professionalism required of a litigation firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the firm’s annual business development strategy, aligned with litigation-focused growth goals.
- Own and manage KPIs and weekly performance dashboards (pipeline growth, conversion rates, lead quality, etc.).
- Identify and engage with prospective clients, referral sources, and corporate targets.
- Maintain a high-quality CRM and lead tracking ecosystem.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on sales strategies and strategic account management.
- Negotiate and close partnership or retainer agreements with prospective clients.
- Plan, attend, and lead firm-sponsored events, networking sessions, and external industry conferences.
- Monitor budget, lead acquisition costs, and relationship management ROI.
- Create and present monthly reports with actionable insights for management.
- Work alongside the marketing team to support branding, campaigns, and messaging alignment.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Can operate independently with minimal handholding.
- Can clearly strategize, defend and communicate business development plans, -- as well as be responsible for the end result.
- Delivers consistently high output across lead gen, relationship building, and conversions.
- Pays obsessive attention to detail — nothing gets missed or glossed over.
- Is results-driven and thrives in fast-paced, goal-oriented environments.
- Thinks outside the box and isn’t afraid to pitch contrarian or unconventional sales approaches.
- Combines charm with grit, professionalism with hustle.
- Understands (or can quickly learn) business development constraints and compliance standards in legal services.
- Is as comfortable pitching value propositions as they are interpreting performance metrics.
- Brings energy, integrity, and ambition to every task, every week.
Qualifications:
- 4–8+ years of business development or sales experience in a high-output, performance-driven environment.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the legal industry, or professional services environments.
- Proven ability to manage and execute business development campaigns tied to revenue metrics and measurable ROI.
- Strong understanding of CRM platforms (Salesforce, Hubspot or similar), lead pipelines, conversion optimization, and strategic partnerships.
- Experience working directly with legal, marketing, or consulting professionals.
- Excellent written communication and project management skills, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Demonstrated experience in developing corporate client relationships and navigating procurement processes.
- Practical knowledge in building, maintaining, and optimizing B2B service sales funnels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Communications, or a related field (MBA or relevant sales certifications are a plus).
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Obsessive about quality, attention to detail, consistent output, and performance excellence.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary:
starting $80,000–$180,000+ per year (Base / Commission-based / Performance Bonus / Profit-sharing)
Additional Benefits:
● Extended Health Care
● Performance Bonuses
● Flexible work schedule after 6 months
Other perks:
● Company events and paid-conferences
● Paid training
What’s in it more for you:
You’ll be joining a high-performance, growth-oriented organization at a pivotal point in its trajectory — with the opportunity to help shape and drive that growth from the front lines. As part of a firm that thrives on strategic thinking, intellectual rigour, and aggressive expansion, you will work alongside some of the most engaging minds in the legal, business, and operational worlds — from elite clients and industry stakeholders to high-calibre professionals internally.
This role isn’t about building from scratch or fixing a broken system — it’s about accelerating an already well-structured machine. Our marketing and business development foundations are in place, our systems and workflows are fully developed and actively used, and our operational backbone is built for scale. We believe in strong methodology, replicable systems, and performance clarity — and you’ll be part of deploying and continuously refining them across the firm.
You will inherit a consistent and growing stream of inbound leads already in motion, while being entrusted with building new funnels, verticals, and client pathways that haven’t yet been tapped into. The groundwork is laid — we’re just looking for the right leader to drive it further.
