Stockhouse is a leading North American media organization known for providing high-quality investment information and content specific to the North American market.

We are looking for a Senior Business Development Executive with a proven track record in Capital Markets and/or Digital Advertising sales to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional with a passion for sales and strategic digital advertising. In this role, you will play a key part in expanding our client base and promoting Stockhouse’s digital marketing solutions for public companies and luxury brands.

Accountabilities:

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new sales opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to close deals and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust tactics as needed to achieve goals.
  • Develop and execute plans to expand existing accounts and foster long-term client relationships.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
  • Engage in consultative sales approaches to address client needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Engage with the local business community to promote the company’s brand and services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Work with other departments to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
  • Share insights and feedback to support process improvements and collective success.
  • Attend industry events and networking functions to enhance the company’s visibility.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability of creatively pursuing and closing deals (being comfortable selling $100,000+ programs)
  • Successful track record in selling digital marketing campaigns (e.g., programmatic, paid search, paid social, content marketing, remarketing)
  • Deep knowledge of the digital marketing landscape - platforms, formats, targeting strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Experience crafting and refining sales messaging to resonate with different buyer personas.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with C-level executives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in consultative sales and networking, enabling you to build meaningful connections.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes to a respectful and productive work environment.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Competency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to maximize efficiency.
  • Ready and willing to travel as necessary to fulfill job requirements.
  • Broker network and familiarity with Capital Markets (particularly in the micro/small cap business environment) are considered valuable assets.
