Software International (SI) supplies talent to various Fortune 1000 and other technology, consulting, telecom, and engineering clients across Canada and the US.

Our client is a large, publicly traded software company with operations in 30+ countries worldwide and revenue exceeding $35 billion. They specialize in acquiring B2B companies and designing, implementing, and supporting various B2B software across industries. They are seeking to add a strong Business Development Associate to their team, focusing on the European market. This role offers unlimited earning potential and significant career growth.

Role: Business Development Associate

Location: Greater Toronto Area (Mississauga) - Hybrid (3 days in office)

Type: Full-Time Permanent

Salary: $55,000 - 75,000/year + Uncapped commissions + bonus + benefits + vacation + discounted company equity purchase + RRSP matching + opportunity for growth within the company

Job Description:

Summary

This is a client-facing role requiring a driven, energetic, and professional individual. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and a talent for relationship building. Responsibilities include accurately capturing and qualifying leads, managing a sales pipeline, and achieving set targets. The role offers career advancement within Volaris Group and involves working closely with senior leaders to source and connect with software companies for acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify sales targets, nurture leads, and proactively maintain relationships with software business owners via phone, email, LinkedIn, conferences, and in-person meetings. Obtain high-level financial and operational information about target companies.
  • Respond to inbound leads, understand and articulate Volaris acquisition criteria and value proposition to owners of software businesses both verbally and in writing.
  • Assist in M&A pipeline development, develop tailored messaging for decision-makers, coordinate appointments, generate reports, and move opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests in a high-pressure environment, conduct market research, and perform other duties as required.
  • Demonstrate creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to owners, operators, and C-suite leadership.

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years in business development or lead generation, preferably in B2B.
  • Extensive experience with cold calling, especially to founders and C-suite executives.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline and exceed prospecting quotas; highly metrics-driven.
  • Strong communication skills, confident presenting to executives and owners.
  • Proficiency in European languages is a strong asset.
  • Experience in M&A, software, or technology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is an asset.
  • Energetic, proactive, passionate about building relationships.
  • Professional attitude, persistent work ethic, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
