The Opportunity
What if your data, market insights, and business development expertise could help create more opportunities for students to launch their careers? As the Business Development Analyst with the Business Career Hub (BCH), you'll play an important role in connecting TMU students with the employers, organizations, and opportunities that can shape their futures. Working alongside the BCH business development team, you'll turn market intelligence, data, and emerging trends into insights that help identify high-potential employers and build sustainable pipelines of work-integrated learning opportunities.
You'll support the full business development lifecycle from identifying and researching prospective partners to helping initiate outreach, qualify opportunities, and strengthen relationships with employers and industry partners. By bringing structure, insight, and data to the sales process, you'll help the team expand its employer outreach capacity and respond to the growing demand for co‑op, internship, and other work-integrated learning opportunities.
A key part of your role will be transforming data into a clear picture of the market and the sales funnel. You'll develop and interpret business development data, create meaningful visualizations and reports, and provide market intelligence that enables stakeholders to understand where opportunities exist, where prospects are progressing, and where new approaches may be needed. Your insights will help BCH make smarter, more timely, and more informed business development decisions. You'll also help strengthen the systems and processes that power BCH's growth. By leveraging and maintaining Salesforce data, operations practices, building and maintaining reports and improved lead management processes, you'll help the team work more efficiently, engage employers more effectively, and build lasting relationships with industry partners.
The impact of your work will extend well beyond the sales pipeline. By helping BCH build stronger and more sustainable employer partnerships, you'll help create more pathways for TMU students to gain meaningful workplace experience, develop their skills, and take their next step toward successful careers. If you're curious about markets, energized by data, comfortable building relationships, and motivated by the opportunity to connect business with student success, this is a chance to bring your analytical and business development skills to work that makes a tangible difference.
