Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Business Analyst - Wealth Management, Regulatory/ Riskto lead workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to define problems, evaluate options, and recommend solutions that maximize business value. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Work closely with the Product Owner to translate strategic priorities, business objectives, regulatory requirements, and client needs into delivery-ready product increments, ensuring alignment across business and technology teams.
Lead the discovery, analysis, documentation, and refinement of business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, and non-functional requirements to support successful Agile delivery.
Partner with the Product Owner, architects, designers, and technology teams to ensure epics, features, and user stories are sufficiently defined, understood, sized, and ready for development. Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day business requirement clarification within the squad.
Evaluate current-state processes, client journeys, data flows, and operational models to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, risk reduction, and improved client, advisor, and operational experiences.
Lead workshops and collaborative sessions with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to define problems, evaluate options, and recommend solutions that maximize business value.
Leverage data, operational insights, client feedback, and business analysis to support prioritization, trade-off decisions, and product recommendations while providing transparency on impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
Support Agile events including backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure requirements remain aligned with business objectives throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Partner with Quality Engineering and business stakeholders to validate solutions, support testing activities, ensure traceability from requirements through delivery, and confirm business readiness for release.
Continuously evaluate existing processes, workflows, and solutions and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, regulatory compliance, and client value.
Provide coaching and guidance to Business Analysts and junior team members while promoting best practices in requirements management, Agile delivery, stakeholder engagement, and problem solving.
