Business Analyst – Controls & Finance Documentation
Location: Downtown Toronto. Hybrid: 2 days in office per week
Duration of Contract/Perm: 6 months contract with potential for extension.
Hours/week:37.5 hrs/wk. 9-5 PM, M-F
Overview:
We are seeking experienced Business Analysts with a good background in finance, business process documentation and risk assessment. These roles will support the documentation of controls for an enterprise initiative, working closely with finance teams to enhance governance and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with finance business units to document and assess internal controls.
· Identify and document effective internal controls to address identified regulatory risks
· Translate business processes into clear documentation aligned withpolicies and guidelines
· Track and follow up with stakeholders for necessary information and approvals, wherever required
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in business analysis within financial services.
· Good understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, and audit practices.
· Excellent oral and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
· Familiarity with SOX, RCSA, and other control frameworks is a plus.
