Job summary

ATEK in St-Laurent, QC seeks a Business Analyst to bridge users and engineers. You will map operations across clinical labs, gather requirements, and translate them into precise specs for the V2 platform and internal tools. You’ll build reports and dashboards to track performance while ensuring compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

You’ll work closely with the CTO and engineering team in a hybrid environment, engaging with pharmaceutical, biotech, and hospital-lab customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a business analyst, systems analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience writing requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for software teams.
• Experience mapping business processes and running workshops with users.
• Strong SQL skills and experience building reports or dashboards.
• Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical people, and business needs to engineers.
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work and checking outputs.
• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, industrial engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Map current workflows in operations, sales, support and quality, identifying where internal tools can remove manual work.
• Write specifications for the V2 platform and internal tools, including user stories, business rules and acceptance criteria.
• Meet customers in pharmaceutical, biotech and hospital labs to understand monitoring, alerting and reporting needs.
• Turn customer requests and feedback into prioritized product requirements with CTO and engineering.
• Test features against acceptance criteria before release and collect user feedback after launch.
• Build KPIs, dashboards and analyses from business and platform data using SQL.
• Keep requirements documented and traceable to features delivered; train internal teams on new features.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst at ATEK, you will be the link between the people who use our platform and the engineers who build it. You will map how our operations, sales, support and quality teams work, gather requirements from customers in pharmaceutical, biotech and hospital labs, and turn both into clear specifications the engineering team can build and test. You will also build the reports and dashboards that show how the business and the platform are performing. Our customers operate under FDA 21 CFR Part 11, so requirements need to be precise and traceable.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 or quality management systems
• Experience with ERP or CRM systems (for example HubSpot)
• Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI, Looker Studio or Metabase
• Familiarity with IoT, sensors or environmental monitoring
• Business analysis certification (IIBA ECBA, CCBA or CBAP)
