Job summary

ATEK is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the team building an environmental monitoring platform for pharmaceutical, biotech and hospital labs. Four-month internship from January to April 2027, with guidance from the CTO and engineering team.

You will ship features in TypeScript services and a React web app, participate in code reviews, and contribute to tests and bug fixes. You will gain exposure to sensor data ingestion, alerting, and the customer web interface, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a computer science, software engineering or related program.
• Available full-time from January to April 2027 (4 months).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and web development.
• Curious, rigorous and comfortable asking for help when you are stuck.

• Write automated tests for the code you change
• Investigate and fix bugs reported by customers and support
• Build internal tools that help operations and support teams work faster
• Document what you build so the next person can maintain it

About the Role

As a Software Engineering Intern at ATEK, you will spend four months (January to April 2027) on the team that builds our environmental monitoring platform for pharmaceutical, biotech and hospital labs. You will ship real features and fixes to production, with code reviews and guidance from the team. The work spans sensor data ingestion, alerting and the web application our customers use every day.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features and bug fixes in our TypeScript services and React web application
• Write automated tests for the code you change
• Investigate and fix bugs reported by customers and support
• Build internal tools that help operations and support teams work faster

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a computer science, software engineering or related program
