We are seeking two experienced Business Analysts to join our teams in Montreal, Calgary, and Halifax. The successful candidates will analyze and enhance payment systems, focusing on CHAPS, CHATS, RITS, and SWIFT. These roles require a deep understanding of international payment systems, SWIFT messaging standards, and the ability to navigate system-specific guidelines and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Systems Analysis: Evaluate and document the workflows and operational procedures of CHAPS, CHATS, and RITS to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with their respective guidelines.
- SWIFT Messaging Standards: Analyze and implement changes related to SWIFT messaging, particularly the transition to ISO 20022 standards, ensuring seamless integration with existing payment systems.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements related to payment processing and messaging standards.
- Solution Design: Develop functional specifications and work closely with technical teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs and comply with international payment system standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and external payment system operators, facilitating clear communication and understanding of project goals and deliverables.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all payment system processes and implementations adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Testing and Validation: Coordinate and manage testing activities related to payment systems and SWIFT messaging changes, ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
- Experience: 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on international payment systems and SWIFT messaging standards.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of CHAPS, CHATS, RITS, and their specific operational guidelines.
- Proficiency in SWIFT messaging standards, including MT and ISO 20022 formats.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to international payments and financial messaging.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with payment system migrations, particularly related to SWIFT's transition to ISO 20022.
- Proficiency with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
