Job summary

Access Credit Union is seeking a Business Administrator to provide a superior member experience by greeting members, addressing inquiries, and promoting products and services with emphasis on account documentation, structure and operations, in close contact with the Business Lending team.

The role supports daily business banking tasks, onboarding of business memberships, and collaboration with the lending team, with a starting salary and clear advancement opportunities within the credit union.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Business Administration or other post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Ability to identify and act upon sales and service opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members and respond to inquiries on basic credit union products and services.
  • Resolve member problems and refer complex issues to the appropriate person or department.
  • Process daily business banking transactions and administrative tasks.
  • Refer members to appropriate staff or departments as necessary.
  • Open and maintain business memberships and accounts, set up online banking and troubleshoot.
  • Prepare bank confirmations.
  • Administer and process term deposits.
  • Solicit new members and foster business development through service excellence, product knowledge and teamwork.
  • Provide administrative support to the Business Loan department.
  • Process all required reports and documentation efficiently and accurately ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Operate as contact for members and branch staff to ensure needs are met and relationships remain profitable.
  • Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Essential Qualifications
  • Grade12 diplomaor equivalent
  • Business Administration or other post-secondary education would be considered an asset

Employee Sub-Type Regular

Starting Salary $41,505.00

Salary Band $41,505.00 - $50,769.00

In most situations, candidates will be offered the starting salary for the position. In exceptional circumstances, and at the organization’s discretion, an offer may be made above the stated minimum based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and external compensation factors. When underfilling a position, the salary offered may be in a lower salary band.
