Job summary

S&R Seniors Living in Lambton County, Sarnia, is hiring a Bus Shuttle Driver to safely transport residents to appointments, outings and events. You’ll perform daily vehicle checks, follow policies and communicate with the Activities Manager to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires a clean driver’s abstract, insurability proof, and strong verbal and listening communication skills. Prior experience with seniors is an asset. This is a full-time position in our recreation department.

We are looking for a safe, reliable, and resident-focused Shuttle Driver to transport residents to appointments, community outings, and events. The ideal candidate takes pride in vehicle care, follows established policies, and communicates proactively with the Activities Manager. This role is responsible for:

• Safely operating the shuttle according to all relevant provincial legislation
• Performing safety and maintenance checks on the vehicle
• Driving residents to and from appointments, community outings, and events
• Ensuring the van is safely and securely stored after use
• Advising the Activities Manager of any requirements for maintenance or repair Any other related duties as required or assigned

The successful candidate will be a professional, courteous individual with experience operating a shuttle vehicle. This role requires:

• Clean Driver’s Abstract

• Proof of insurability required
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
