Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a casual (on-call) Bus Driver for Aspira Rockland Manor Retirement Living in Canada. The role covers vacations and open shifts, with daytime activities guiding resident transportation.

Shifts are a minimum of 3 hours, and weekend availability is required. You will provide safe, reliable transport to residents, help them board and alight, and maintain the vehicle while fostering a respectful and caring environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Appropriate provincial bus driving permit.
  • Clean Drivers Abstract.
  • 1–2 years of bus driving experience.
  • Proficient English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Transport residents to scheduled activities and assist them when boarding/alighting.
  • Ensure safe driving, observe speed limits and road signs.
  • Maintain the bus cleanliness and perform basic checks (fuel, fluids, tires).
  • Support daily operations to ensure reliable transportation for residents.

By ensuring timely arrivals and a comfortable, secure journey, you help create positive experiences every day. What makes you a great fit?
  • Transporting residents to scheduled activities and assists residents when they are getting on or off the bus and when they cross the street when the bus is stopped to ensure their safety
  • Observing the speed limit and road signs
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the bus such as filling the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, checking tire pressure, checking the oil and the cleanliness of the bus
  • Maintaining the internal cleanliness of the bus
  • Carrying out, if needed, all related tasks in order to ensure the continuity and the quality of the services.
  • Performing other duties as assigned
What you need to know:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Appropriate provincial driving permit for a bus
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • 1-2 years of experience as a driver
  • Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experience in customer service
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
  • Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position
