Job summary

Autism Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician to provide timely responses to tenant requests and address urgent building issues. You will diagnose problems, select materials and equipment, and carry out carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs across common areas.

The role requires 3–5 years of maintenance experience, a Grade 12 education, and a valid driver’s license. You will work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with a comprehensive benefits package and pension, supporting a safe, well‑maintained

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent, with 3-5 years of general maintenance and repair experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of general facility maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, hand and power tools, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Proven ability to assess maintenance issues, problem-solve effectively, and complete repairs in a cost-effective manner.
  • Strong communication, time management, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, reliable vehicle, steel-toed footwear, and ability to meet Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector search requirements.
