Job summary

GWL Realty Advisors is seeking a Building Operator to ensure our property is operated and maintained safely, efficiently, and sustainably while delivering high performance and tenant service.

The role involves assisting with base building systems, coordinating with contractors, and supporting energy management initiatives. A 2+ year track record in commercial property operations is expected, along with relevant licenses and a hands-on mechanical/electrical skill set.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial property management operations.
• Strong knowledge of Building HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, BAS, and Life Safety systems.
• 5th class power engineering license or BES certifications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Passion for sustainability and energy management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the efficient control of base building equipment and systems such as chillers and air-handling systems.
• Assist contractors; obtain estimates and quotations for required work.
• Perform water treatment chemical testing and critical system testing.
• Contribute to energy management across mechanical and ventilation systems.
• Provide tour and inspection reports and support safety and environmental programs.
• Work under minimal supervision.
