A leading company in facilities management is seeking a full-time Building Operator in Vernon, BC. The successful candidate will maintain safe conditions, perform repairs, and contribute to project planning and execution across various sites. Black & McDonald is currently seeking a full-time Building Operator to join our Facilities Management & Operations team in Vernon, BC! If you are a hands-on, customer service-oriented, and technically-inclined professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you. The Building Operator position will be based out of our Vernon site (Vernon Cadet Training Centre) and report to the Project Manager.
This Building Operator position will be responsible for our Department of National Defence Contract sites located throughout the BC Interior. The Building Operator will maintain safe conditions inside and outside of the facilities, perform minor plumbing and electrical repairs, as well as use the computerized building management system. They will conduct mechanical inspection and maintenance of equipment using FMO strategies to ensure continuing operation. The Building Operator will use their experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements and will execute any other duties or requests made to ensure contract compliance. Expected compensation for this role is a starting pay range between $30-33/hour dependent on skills and experience.
