Job summary

Pinchin’s Building Science and Resiliency team in British Columbia seeks a Senior Technical Manager, Building Envelope to lead and grow the practice across the region, focusing on envelope assessment, design, rehabilitation, restoration, and client development.

This leadership role drives technical excellence, mentors staff, oversees projects from inception to completion, manages budgets and schedules, and collaborates with Building Science, Structural, MEP, Environmental, and Sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil/Structural/Building Envelope or related field.
• Professional designation such as P.Eng., CET, BSS, RRO, RRC, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of building envelope consulting, restoration, rehabilitation, and building science experience.
• Strong knowledge of roof systems, cladding, glazing, balconies, waterproofing, and parking structures.
• Experience leading assessment, design, and rehabilitation projects for existing buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Building Envelope team through mentorship and operational leadership.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities for regional growth.
• Drive business development activities including networking, proposals, and client engagements.
• Oversee envelope assessment, design, restoration, and rehabilitation projects from inception to completion.
• Provide technical leadership for building enclosure investigations and rehabilitation design.
• Manage project budgets, scope, scheduling, invoicing, and financial performance.
