Job summary

BPA in Canada is seeking a Senior Building Enclosure Engineer to join the Building Science and Restoration team. This hands-on, senior role leads investigations, shapes enclosure design and renewal strategies, reviews designs, and validates performance through testing and commissioning on existing and new projects.

You will work with clients, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with architects, sustainability groups, and MEP teams to deliver durable, energy-efficient envelopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Building Science Engineering.
• 12+ years in building enclosure engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years in a leadership role; P.Eng. in Ontario preferred.
• Experience with enclosure testing, thermography, and performance analysis.
• Licensing in other provinces is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead enclosure investigations and assess performance issues across cladding, roofing, glazing, and interfaces.
• Plan and execute enclosure testing programs, including air and water leakage tests.
• Conduct infrared thermography and hygrothermal analysis to guide durable design.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications from field findings.
