Job summary

Bouthillette Parizeau & Associes in Calgary, Alberta seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems and collaborate with clients and consultants. You will handle drawings, specifications, and coordination using Revit and AutoCAD, with on-site construction administration responsibilities.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering, P.Eng or P.L.(Eng.) certification, and is registered as an E.I.T.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• P.Eng or P.L.(Eng.) certification is required.
• Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with APEGA.
• Strong familiarity with the National Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA and CAN/ULC standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, AGI or Dialux, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs, project specifications, and electrical drawing details for building electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communications, using Revit, AutoCAD, or BIM tools.
• Perform design coordination and quality control on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with clients and consultants throughout the project.
• Project management: ensure scheduling, time management, and reporting are implemented effectively.
• Communicate and coordinate among all parties and disciplines involved in projects.
• Accountable for on-site Construction Administration, including site surveys and inspections on construction sites.
