Bouthillette Parizeau & Associes in Calgary, Alberta seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead the design of building electrical systems and collaborate with clients and consultants. You will handle drawings, specifications, and coordination using Revit and AutoCAD, with on-site construction administration responsibilities.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering, P.Eng or P.L.(Eng.) certification, and is registered as an E.I.T.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• P.Eng or P.L.(Eng.) certification is required.
• Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with APEGA.
• Strong familiarity with the National Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA and CAN/ULC standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, AGI or Dialux, and Bluebeam.

• Communicate and coordinate among all parties and disciplines involved in projects.
• Accountable for on-site Construction Administration, including site surveys and inspections on construction sites.

Your main responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs, project specifications, and electrical drawing details for building electrical systems, including but not limited to power, lighting, fire alarm, security, and communications, using Revit, AutoCAD, or any other BIM collaboration software.
• Perform design coordination and quality control on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with clients and consultants throughout the project.
• Project management: Ensure that scheduling, time management, and reporting are implemented effectively and efficiently.
• Effectively communicate and coordinate among all parties and disciplines involved in assigned projects.
• Accountable for on-site Construction Administration, including completion of site surveys and inspections on construction sites in assigned projects.

Your Profile

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is required. P.Eng or P.L.(Eng.) certification is required.
• Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) with APEGA
• Relevant experience (internship and/or employment) in Building Electrical Systems
• Strong familiarity with applicable codes and standards, including the National Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code, and various NFPA and CAN/ULC standards.
• Proficiency in Electrical Building Systems design and project management software and platforms, such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, AGI or Dialux, and Bluebeam, is required.
