Position Summary :

The Estimator will play a key role in achieving our client acquisition and revenue growth goals. You will support the Sales Manager with estimating, client presentations, and reporting.

Responsibilities :
  1. Interpret project documentation to develop Building Automation / Building Control design basis and cost estimates.
  2. Collaborate with the account manager to respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP), prepare quotes, and clarify specifications.
  3. Meet with consultants and owner groups as needed to understand project scope, provide budgets, or develop project specifications.
  4. Understand project delivery processes and offer solutions within and outside the controls scope.
  5. Build customer confidence in Ainsworth's solutions.
  6. Maintain good relationships with contractors, vendors, and service teams.
Qualifications :
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the Building Automation System industry.
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree preferred; technical or associate degree considered.
  • Experience in HVAC or electrical contracting sales is welcome.
  • Entry-level candidates will be evaluated individually.
  • Proven sales experience with contractors and consulting engineers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in scope development and specification writing.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, Blue Beam software is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
