Land Surveyor - British Columbia Registered

PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a leading provider of specialized engineering and geomatics services, supporting the growth and modernization of power infrastructure across North America. As a subsidiary of Quanta Services, we deliver high-quality surveying and geomatics solutions for major utility projects in Canada and the U.S.

Our Geomatics division utilizes advanced technology such as LiDAR, UAV mapping, RTK, and robotic total stations to provide precise survey solutions. We support transmission line projects, substations, renewable energy installations, and pole load analysis, with a growing presence in the U.S. market.

We are seeking a licensed British Columbia Land Surveyor to join as a Project Manager. The role is based in Fort St. John or Burnaby, BC. The candidate will oversee professional survey work within their licensed jurisdictions and may contribute to LiDAR and UAV projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage project execution, scope, budget, and schedule.
  2. Establish communication protocols, including decision-makers, change management, and reporting procedures.
  3. Oversee project financials, cost controls, and risk reviews.
  4. Coordinate with team members on project requirements and logistics.
  5. Supervise subcontractors and manage field staff logistics.
  6. Participate in workload planning and team development.
  7. Provide supervision and guidance to project teams, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
  8. Ensure accurate project charges and complete reporting.
  9. Uphold safety policies and safety reporting standards.
Education and Experience:
  • Professional licensure as a Land Surveyor in BC.
  • Diploma or Degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
  • Safety tickets are advantageous.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and English proficiency.
  • Proficiency with computer software including Excel, Outlook, and survey-specific tools.
  • Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant project types and safety standards.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
