Opportunity in British Columbia

We have an exciting opportunity in our British Columbia region for a Broker Operation Specialist (BOS). This role will focus on leading operational efficiency and service execution across an assigned broker panel. Responsibilities include handling incoming broker demand (broker setup, product inquiries, accommodation requests) and managing actions across cross-functional Aviva teams.

The individual will also monitor broker performance, set business, profit, and growth plans, and act as the Aviva quarterback by setting recurring meetings with brokers and partners to strengthen relationships.

This role is vital for driving Aviva’s profitable growth strategy, executing broker plans, strategic initiatives, underwriting audits, and meeting financial targets. Working on the Business Development team provides exposure to multiple organization teams and a wide range of brokers in British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage internal and external broker demand via Salesforce
2. Broker setup and performance planning
3. Support underwriting resolution processes
4. Coordinate regional and national broker communication
5. Implement regional broker initiatives (pricing, product)
6. Execute underwriting audit recommendations
7. Manage broker performance
8. Liaise with Broker Training Team
9. Participate in regional broker events, meetings, and campaigns

Qualifications:

1. Completion or enrollment in CIP is an asset
2. Experience in P&C insurance or similar industry
3. Proven ability to deliver results individually and in teams
4. Strong cross-functional coordination skills
5. Excellent networking capabilities
6. Customer, results, and service-oriented mindset
7. Basic knowledge of marketing (traditional & digital) and broker technology
