Job summary

Rogers Sports & Media in Toronto is seeking a Broadcast Technician to support, repair, and install studio and transmission systems. The role includes live streaming, automation, and maintaining transmitter equipment, with a focus on reliability and documentation.

You will rotate after-hours on-call, travel up to 25%, and collaborate across divisions to ensure high-quality broadcast services. A background in technical support and strong customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

Experience in a technical support environment.
Experience with modern computer systems and networks, broadcast automation and transmission systems.
Experience troubleshooting electronic systems.
Proactive attitude with minimal supervision.
Calm demeanor with strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized technical support to on-air, internal and remote staff, including remote assistance.
Maintain, repair and install broadcast studio systems, including automation playback and news gathering systems.
Maintain, repair and install broadcast digital systems such as live streaming audio and video.
Maintain, repair and install AM and FM transmission systems, including microwave and subsystems.
Create and maintain site documentation, including transmitter logs.
Participate in capital project planning and execution.
Coordinate with other Rogers divisions.
Rotating after-hours on-call and occasional travel.
