Job summary

Dawson Road Maintenance in Smithers, B.C. is hiring a Bridge Worker to build and repair a variety of bridges in a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Bridge Foreman.

You will be part of a family-like team, prioritizing safety while installing, repairing and maintaining wooden, steel and concrete structures. Travel across the province is required and a Class 5 license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must prioritise safety of self and others in all aspects of the job.
• Two years of bridge work experience.
• Two years of road maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Skilled with hand tools.
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License minimum.
• Air brakes and Crane Certification an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain wooden, steel and concrete structures, deck resurfacing, operating road and bridge maintenance equipment.
• Assist in conducting detailed bridge inspections.

Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for a Bridge Worker to assist with building and repairing a variety of bridges.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a permanent full-time position of Bridge Worker, reporting to the Bridge Foreman. Your base location will be Smithers, B.C. and will require some travel throughout our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Must prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job
• Installation, repair and maintenance of wooden, steel and concrete structures, deck resurfacing, operating road and bridge maintenance equipment.
• Assist in conducting detailed bridge inspections

WHAT YOU BRING

• Trade Journeyperson, preferred trades are Bridge workers, Iron workers, and welders
• Minimum two (2) years of bridge work experience
• Minimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experience
• Skilled with hand tools
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License minimum
• Air brakes and Crane Certification an asset
